Business Partner Principles

At Heimstaden, we build long-term relationships based on trust, integrity, and shared responsibility. Our Business Partner Principles define the expectations we place on all companies and individuals we work with, ensuring that our business is conducted ethically, transparently, and sustainably.

The principles are rooted in Heimstaden’s core values — dare, care, and share — and are aligned with the UN Global Compact’s ten principles covering human rights, working conditions, environmental responsibility, and anti-corruption.

What the Principles Cover

Our Business Partner Principles apply to all business partners, including suppliers, contractors, service providers, and other collaborators. They outline requirements in four key areas:

  • Human rights and working conditions – Respect for human rights, fair employment practices, and safe working conditions throughout the value chain.
  • Work environment – A safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace, free from discrimination, harassment, and unsafe practices.
  • Environment and climate – Responsible environmental management, compliance with environmental legislation, and efforts to reduce climate impact.
  • Business ethics and anti-corruption – Zero tolerance for bribery, corruption, fraud, money laundering, and breaches of sanctions regulations.

Business partners are expected not only to comply with these principles themselves, but also to ensure that they are upheld throughout their supply chains.

Compliance and Accountability

The Business Partner Principles form an integral part of Heimstaden’s contractual relationships. Compliance may be followed up through dialogue, documentation, or audits, and serious or repeated breaches may lead to corrective actions or termination of cooperation Business-Partner-Principles-upd….

By working together based on shared values and clear expectations, we strengthen responsible business practices and contribute to sustainable development across our operations.
